How to save selection in Photoshop
The ability to save any of your selections and then use them at any given time is another useful Adobe Photoshop option. Let me show you how to use it.

1.

|
|
Choose any selection tool you want.
I'm going with the Quick Selection Tool.
Also recommended:

|
|

|
|
|
Now to save the selection, go to the menu click Selection and choose Save Selection...
|
|
|

|
|
|
Enter the name your selection and click OK.
|
|
|
5.
|
|
|
Now if you remove the selection you just created ...
Ctrl (Cmd in Mac OS) + D removes the selection.

|
|
6.
|
|
|
... and do anything you want with the image ...
|
|
|
7.
|
|
|
... you can always recall your save selection by going to the menu and clicking Selection then Load Selection...
|
|
|
8.
|
|
|
Choose the Channel you saved in one of the previous steps and click OK.
|
|
|
9.
|
|
|
And here it is, the exact same selection you did in the first place.
