How to photograph a candle

I will show you how to take a shot of a burning candle with a compact camera and make it look professional.

I'm going to use a Nikon Coolpix camera.

Turn off all your lights.

Cover the windows.

Set your camera to Auto mode.

Some cameras might even have a Candle mode if so, choose it.

Turn on Macro mode for close ups.

Macro is usually represented with a flower icon (see picture).

Turn the flash off.

Bring the camera close to the candle.

 When you're satisfied with the motive, half press the trigger button and wait for the picture to focus then press it to the full.

If it doesn't come up right on the first try just keep on shooting until you capture the proper image.

I had to to a couple of shots as well, the one you can see here came out just as I imagined it should.
