Show pixels while making selections in Photoshop

Pretty useful trick in Adobe Photoshop, where we will change the setting for showing dimensions in pixels instead of centimetres while making selections.

1.

Open any photo you want.

2.

Select Rectangular Marquee Tool (M).

3.

Then make a custom selection.

You will notice the width and height is shown in centimetres.

4.

We will change the setting now.

Click above on File, Preferences and choose General...

You can choose also Units & Rulers and skip the next step if you want.

5.

In a new windows select Units & Rulers.

6.

In Units field set Rulers and Type to Pixels.

Press OK.

7.

Now again, try and make a custom selection and dimensions should be displayed in pixels instead of centimeters.
