I'm going to open a .psd Photoshop document I created for this tutorial.
You can try it out with any Photoshop document that contains layers.
FYI: my document contains one of the most beautiful caves in the world - Ć kocjan Caves.
I have two layers.
Two of them are text layers.
We will now save the layers without clicking the Save button.
In the menu click File, Generate and choose Image Assets.
In the Layer palette double-click the name of the layer and name it at your will ...
In case Blending Options accidentally open, close them and double-click the layer name again ...
... add the image type extension to the name - .gif, .jpg or .png.
Do that for the rest of the layers.
Your Photoshop document should already be saved for this tutorial to work. You can also save text layers to image files.
Now open folder where you have your Photoshop document stored.
Notice the ...-assets folder and open it.
The folder should contain images saved from your layers.
