How to turn on hibernation in Windows 8
Windows 8 does not allow hibernation by default. We can turn on this options with the help of control panel.

As we can see hibernation is not turned on.
2.
Press
Win + R
to open Run window.
Type
control panel
and click
OK
to open Control panel.

Click
System and Security
.
4.
Click
Power Options
.
5.
Click
Choose what the power buttons do
.
6.
Click
Change settings that are currently unavailable
.
7.
Under Shutdown settings select Hibernate checkbox and save the settings.
8.
Now if you go to power option you will see that Hibernation is now activated.
