Lava Creation Photoshop Tutorial
In this Photoshop tutorial we will create a simple and pretty interesting lava effect from a scratch and without using any extra pictures.

1.

|
Create a random sized document.
I have created a document with 1024 x 768 dimensions.

|
|
2.
|
|
|
Press D key to set the black and white colors (see my pic).
|
|
|

|
Click above on Filter, Render and select Clouds.
|
|
|
4.
|
|
|
Click above on Filter, Render and select Difference clouds.
|
|
|

|
|
Press Ctrl (Command on MacOS) and J together to duplicate the layer.
|
|
|

|
|
Click above on Filter, Stylize and select Emboss... Set the same values Like I did and click OK.
|
|
|

|
|
|
Click above on Filter, Artistic and select Plastic Wrap... Set the same values Like I did and click OK.

Set blending mode of duplicated layer to Overlay.
|
|
|

|

Select the Background layer.
|

Click above on Image, Adjustments and select Color Balance...
In a new window select the Midtones and set the same values like I did. Don't close the window yet ...

Select the Shadows and set the same values like I did. Don't close the window yet ...
|

Select the Highlights and set the same values like I did. Click OK.
