1.

Create new project.

Click here to see how to create new project.

Now hold imported video...

2.

...and drag it to Timeline at Video 1.

3.

Select video in Timeline.

Now open Effects, Video Effects, Stylize, select Find Edges...

4.

...and drag it to Effect Controls above.

5.

In Timeline go to the start of the video (see picture)...

6.

...in Video Effects open settings at Find Edges.

Click Togle animation icon...

7.

...and set Blend With to 100%.

With this we set the activity to the effect, but it is not visible at the moment.

8.

In Effect Controls go with the time indicator a few seconds forward. This is where we are going to use effect.

9.

Click Add/Remove Keyframe icon next to Blend With...

10.

Set Blend With... to 0%.

11.

Go with the time indicator a few more seconds forward.

12.

Click Add/Remove Keyframe icon nex to Blend With...

13.

...and set it to 100%.

What we have done? At the beggining of the video the value was set to 100%, which means that effect visibility was null and void. After few second the effect went to full visibility and later went back to null and void.

Experiment a little to get best result.
