Reduce the size of a Photo in Adobe Photoshop
A very basic Adobe Photoshop tutorial where you will learn how to duplicate a photo, reduce the size and get to know a new function.

Open a photo in Photoshop.
In the menu click File and choose Open...
|
|
|

|
So we don't corrupt the original Photo let's make its copy.
In the menu click Image and choose Duplicate...
|
|
|

A Duplicate Image dialog window shows up, simply enter a name for the duplicated photo and confirm it.
|

Notice a new document with the duplicated photograph.
|

In the menu click Image and choose Image Size...
In the Image Size dialog window, notice the current dimensions of your photo - Width is 4000 Pixels and Height 3000 Pixels.
Don't close the window yet ...

Sedaj pa spremenite Width (širina) vrednost na 1200 Pixels (glej sliko).
Set the Resample option to Bicubic Sharper (reduction) or leave Automatic.
Bicubic Sharper method is usually the most appropriate method for making images smaller.

Hold Alt key(Option in MacOS) and notice the Cancel button turning into a Reset button. If you click the Reset button, all the original Image Size settings will be brought back. This is the new feature I was talking about.
Click OK to reduce your photo to the dimensions you entered and you are done!
