How to Download OS X Mavericks Installation File
I will show you how to download the new OS X Mavericks installation package you can then use for a clean install on your Mac computer.

1.

Open this link in your browser and if you are not directed directly to the OS X Mavericks download in the App Store, click the View in Mac App Store button.

I already have OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) installed on my Mac, that's why I need to click Continue.
If you don't have Mavericks installed on your Mac the downloading procedure will start immediately.

|
The download time depends on the speed of your Internet connection.
You can check the progress by rolling over the Launchpad icon (see picture).
|
|
|

|
|
When download is finished, OS X Mavericks Installation set up window pops up.
Do NOT press continue.
You probably want a clean install of Mavericks on your Mac and this is not the best way to be doing it.

|
Click Install OS X in the menu and choose Quit Install OS X or press CMD + Q.
|
|
|
7.
|
|
|
The installation package of OS X Mavericks should be in your Applications folder and it's called Install OS X Mavericks (see picture).
