How To Protect Your Word Document With a Password

Word documents can be easily protected and allows to read and to modify documents only to those who knows the password.

Open any Word document you want to protect.

 
 
2.
 

Select File/Protect Document/Encrypt with Password.

 
 
3.
 

Enter the password to protect the document.

 
 
4.
 

In new window reenter the password.

Now your document is protected.

 
 
5.
 

Next time you will open the document, Word will ask you for your password.

 
 
6.
 

If the password is incorect, Word will refuse access to the document.

 
 
7.
 

If you enter correct password, the Word document will open normally.
