Links between web pages

We will create three new web pages for an imaginary company. Then we will link them to allow transitions between them.

Open Macromedia Dreamweaver.

Now, we will create the first page.

Click on File and select New (shortcut as CTRL + N).

In new window select Basic page and on the right choose HTML.

Confirm it with Create.

You have created a new document temporary named Untitled-1.

Enter to this document FIRST PAGE, WHO ARE WE and CONTACT.

Write the welcome massage below.

Click File and choose Save as.

In the new window, under File name, type index.html and click on the Save button.

Now repeat the process and Create another page. Click on File, New, Basic Page, HTML and Create.

In the program you will see a new tab Untitled-2, which is located next to index.html.

Again, enter the HOME PAGE, WHO ARE WE and CONTACT, as on the first page.

Below write a description of the company or a team.

Now click File and choose Save as...

Type the file name (I chose who_are_we.html) and confirm it with Save button.

For greater transparency use the underscore in the file names.

Now you have created two new web pages.

Create a third new page. Click on File, New, Basic Page, HTML and Create.

Enter again FIRST PAGE, WHO ARE WE and CONTACT. 

Enter "This is the contact page." below.

Save the page as contact.html (File, Save As ...)

All three pages are created. Now we will link them to each other.

Click on the tab index.html.

Mark "FIRST PAGE"...

...and click on the yellow icon, which determines the Link.

Or right-click on highlighted text and choose Make link.

Select index and confirm it with OK.

Select WHO ARE WE and repeat the process, but select the file who_are_we.html.

Do the same for CONTACT.

Links on the first page are created.

Click on the tab who_are_we.html and contact.html and create links also on these pages.

When you are finished, don't forget to save the pages.

Click File and select Save all.

We are done.

Press F12 or go to File, Preview and Browser, and select Internet Explorer or another browser to see your new website.
