Create a Custom Shape With Gradient fill in MS Word

Word is becoming stronger in graphic design tools and I will show you something really neat today. We will draw a custom shape and add your favorite gradient colors.

Create a new Word document and click on Insert tab.

After that click on Shapes ...

... and choose any shape you want.

Draw it anywhere on the document.

Pressing Shift key will help you with proportions.

While the newly created shape is selected, press the Shape Fill, ...

... Gradient Options and choose More Gradients...

In a new window select the Fill and after that choose Gradient fill.

Select the first stop for choosing colors (see the picture) ...

... and set any color you want.

After that make the same thing for the left stop (see the picture).

If you want to delete middle stop, select it ..

... and remove it by clicking on Remove gradient icon.

Select Line Color and choose No line.

Click OK button when finished.
