How to boost up colors on a photo using Photoshop

Open a photo in Photoshop.
This method works very well if you are using a photo of nature with greens, sky or water.
|

|
Let's make a copy of the original photo/layer.
In the menu click Layer and choose Duplicate Layer...
Click OK.
|
|
|

|
|
Let's add a bit of color to the duplicated layer.
Press CTRL + U, to open Hue/Saturation settings window.
Set Hute to 0, Saturation to about 50 and Lightness to 0.
Click OK.

|
Your colours are already much more intense than before.
|
|
|

In the menu click Filter, Noise and Median...
Set Radius to 4 and click OK.
|
|
|

In the menu click Filter, Blur and choose Gaussian Blur.
Set Radius to 3 pixels and click OK.

Set the blending mode of the duplicated layer to Color.
