Archive and download all of your Google data

If you use Google services such as Google Reader, Google Drive, YouTube, Contacts, Google+ Circles, Latitude, Picasa Web Albums and a few more, you can download all of your stuff to your computer.

Go to the Google Takeout website.

Sign-in to your Google account if asked to do so.

In case you want to archive and download data from all the Google services you are using, then simply click Create Archive button bellow and skip to step 8.

If you want to choose what you want to archive and download then click Choose Services (see picture).

Now simply click to select Google services you want to archive and download to your computer.

If you are a Google Reader user than you are probably familiar with the fact, that Google will cancel Google Reader service on July 1, 2013. So you might want to archive your Google Reader feeds as well before they are gone. And here you will find the best Google Reader alternative RSS feed readers.

If you chose to archive your Google Drive data as well and don't want to download all of it, you can click Configure in the Drive box (see picture).

Click Download a single top-level folder that you might have created on your Google Drive and choose which of them you want to archive.

You can also define the File types you want to download.

When done choosing your Google Services, click Create Archive.

And depending on how much data you have stored on the Google services you chose to archive, you need to wait for archiving process to finish.

In case you have a large amount of data that could take a while to archive, you can simply choose the Email me when ready option, and you should receive an email when the archiving process has finished.

When the archiving process is complete, click the Download button.

If asked, enter your Google credentials ...

... and save the archive file that includes all the Google data you chose to archive to your computer.

All the Google stuff you archived is also available for the download for a limited period of time.

Click Downloads.

And here you can check the availability of the Google data you archived earlier.
