Change the user profile image in Mac OS X
You can always change your user profile picture on a Mac OS X Mountain Lion powered computer and this how you do it.

|
Click Users & Groups in the System options.
|
|
|

|
|
Click the lock if the making changes are disabled (see picture).
|
|
|

|
If asked enter the Password and click Unlock.
|
|
|

|
Choose the user you want to change the profile picture for.
If you want to change it for the user you are logged in with, than choose the Current User.
|
|
|

|
Click the current image to open the new image chooser.
|
|
|

|
You can now choose from default images, from images that have been recently used, or choose the Camera option to take a picture with you Mac computer's built-in camera.
You can also change the way the image looks like by clicking the Edit button (see picture) ...

... zooming in our out of the image by using the slider, and you can even add an effect to the image by clicking the effects button (see picture) ...

... and choosing the effect you like.

When done editing, click Done.
