How to add a Pinterest Pin it button to Wordpress
Adding a Pin it button to pin Wordpress content to Pinterest is quite simple, all you need to do is to download the Wordpress plugin and install it in the Wordpress dashboard.

Click here to visit the Pinterest Pin it button plug-in for Wordpress.
When on page, click the Download button to download the Pin it plugin.

Save it to your computer and remember where you saved it.
In Windows it usually saves in the c:\users\your_user\downloads folder.

Now Log In to your Wordpress dashboard.
www.yoursite.com/wp-admin where yoursite represents the website you want to add the Pin it button to.

In Wordpress Dashboard click the Plugins and then Add New.
|

On the Install Plugins page, click Upload link and then Browse.

Choose and open the pinterest-pin-it-button.zip file you downloaded and saved to your computer earlier.

Click Install Now to install the plugin.

If everything went well you should get the Plugin installed successfully message.
Click Activate Plugin to activate it.
You can do that later on as well if you don't want the Pinterest Pin it button to appear on the Wordpress website.

Click Close to close the popup message.

In the Dashboard menu you should notice the new Pin It Button button in the menu on the left, click it to enter the Pin It Button settings.

As you can see you have tons of different options available for the Pin in button, let me show you the basic ones.
If you want user to choose which image should be displayed when pinned to Pinterest then choose the User selects image from popup option. If you don't want the user to have control which image should be displayed then chose the second Image is pre-selected option.
If you want to display the number of clicks or so called pins next to the Pin it button than choose the Horizontal or Vertical Pin Count.

Set the perfered Page and Post Visibility options. Choose what typed of pages should the Pin it button appear on.

Choose the Pin it button placement. Above, Bellow or at short description of the content.
|
|

When done with setting up the button option don't forget to click the Save Changes button.
|
|

|
|
|
The Pinterest Pin it button is ready and waiting for the users to click it.
