Show notifications on lock screen of Windows Phone 8

Windows Phone 8 enables you to choose the apps you want them to display its status on the lock screen of your phone. For instance a notification that you just got a new Gmail email.

Swipe left to the apps.

Tap Settings.

Tap lock screen.

Tap the + add button to add a new quick app status.

Choose the app.

Google Mail in my case.

And that's it.

You should now get the notification on your lock screen when you get a new email to your Gmail address.
