How to add a new contact in Windows Phone 8

Let's find out how to add a new contact to your Windows Phone 8 powered smartphone and pin it to the home screen.

On the home screen tap to open People.

Tap the + (new contact) button.

Tap the add name.

Enter your new contact's First name, Last name and any other additional data like company they work in etc.

When you are done entering the new contact information, tap the Save button.

To add the phone number of the new contact, simply tap the phone button ...

... and enter the phone number.

You can additionally choose the phone number type as well.

You can continue adding additional these days crucial information like email. Simply tap email and add it.

When done, tap the save button.

Your new contacts should now be in the people hub. To pin the contact to the home screen, tap and hold the contact ...

... and choose the pin to start option.

To delete the contact choose delete and to change the contact information tap edit.
