First lets prepare everything we need for planting dahlias at home into a flower pot.
You will need a potting soil, pot, dahlia seeds and some paper to keep the things clean in your house or apartment.
All of this things can be bought in flower shops, home depot stores or even bigger supermarkets.

Best you use the flower pot with a plastic insert for water drainage. Pour the potting soil into the pot, fill it up to abut 85%.

Gently settle the soil with your fingers.
Your kids can help you with this task.

Put the seeds into the pot filled wit soil.
We added about 10 seeds, the seed provider claims a 90% success.

Gently push the seeds into the soil. Only a bit though you should still see them in the soil.
|
|

Water the seeds with lukewarm water. Don't overdo with the water. The soil should be damped not soaked.

Put the flower pot with planted dahlia seeds somewhere with a lot of direct sun light.
|
|
|

|
|
|
After only 2 days, the dahlia seeds started to sprout.
|
|
|
9.
|
|
|
After 5 days it started to become interesting.
Don't forget to check if the soil is always moist and keep the dahlias in direct sun light, they love it and need for a successful growth.
