If you prefer Google as your default search instead of Bing in Internet Explorer 9 address bar, this is what you need to do.

1.

Click here to go to the Internet Explorer Add-Ons gallery.

If you see Google search logo on the entry page then click it, if not then click search on the left and click Google.

2.

Click Add to Internet Explorer button.

3.

Choose Make this my default search provider and if you want to get search suggestion from Google as you type, choose the second option as well.

Click Add.

4.

To try if it did the trick, enter some search keywords in the IE address bar.

Click Turn on suggestions link if you want Google to provide you with search suggestions as you type.

5.

Press Enter.

You can always change the default provider by clicking the search provider buttons at the bottom left corner of suggestions.

6.

And you should end up in Google search with the results based on the keywords you entered in the Internet Explore address bar.
