How to turn your Nexus 4 into a WiFi hotspot

You can set your LG Nexus 4 to act as a wireless hotspot, so you and your friends can use it to connect to the Internet.

1.

Tap Apps button.

2.

Tap Settings.

3.

Tap More.

4.

Tap Tetherting & portable hotspot.

5.

Tap Set up Wi-Fi hotspot.

6.

Enter the name for your WiFi network (Network SSID), set the security (I recommend WPA2 PSK) so the people that want to use your Nexus 4 hotspot have to enter the password and enter the Password (at least 8 character).

7.

Enable the Portable Wi-Fi hotspot and your Nexus 4 is ready to share the Internetz.

You should now be able to see the wireless network on a laptop or any other Wi-Fi enabled device. All you have to do is connect to it, enter the password you set and you can surf on.

Beware that using your phone as a WiFi hotspot to use the Internet is using your mobile data, meaning if you don't have an appropriate mobile data plan it can cost you a lot.

Something that everyone should have it today. Really useful when outside in nature and you want to connect with you laptop or tablet to world wide web.
