How to check Android version on Nexus 4

If you want to find out what is your current Android version installed on your Nexus 4, this is what you need to do.

Tap the Apps button.

Tap Settings.

Swipe down to the About phone and tap it.

Here you can now see all the information about your phone, including the Android version, which is 4.2.1 in my case.

Nexus devices are great because of the regular updates. I wonder why others are waiting so long to update their devices. I think Samsung can for example test their devices in 14 days and not wait half a year.

I wonder why they don't produce a software that can be updated more often? I really hate on other devices like Nexus to wait for some small updates. They must do something. Like Windows 7 for example.
