Sea bass is my favorite salt water fish by far. Its meat is so tasty it doesn't require a lot of preparation, meaning less is better. Let me show you how easy it is to prepare one and roast it in an oven.

If you bought the sea bass in a market they probably already removed the scales. But there is a great possibility they didn't remove all of the scales, so do that yourself. Scrape them off using a knife, scrape it in the tail to head direction

If the fish wasn't cleaned from the outside, then remove the guts and other internals.

... and spread it all over the sea bass using your hands.

And use a bit of olive oil on the inside as well.
If you wish you can also make a couple if cuts across the fish so it will roast faster and more even.

Spread a bit of olive oil all over the baking tray.

Preheat the oven to 400 degree F (200 C).
Put the sea bass into the oven and let it roast for about 20 minutes.

Check out if the fish is done.
If the eyes turn white it usually means the fish is ready to be taken out.
Take the fish out of the oven.

Chop the garlic into small pieces.
