How to download Nokia Here Maps for Offline use
The new Nokia Here Maps have an option that enables you to download maps to your iPhone or iPad via Wi-Fi, so there won't be any data connection needed the next time you will be using the app.

In the search field enter the area you want to download to your phone for the off-line use.
You can enter a specific place or you can use the finger gestures, like move, pinch zoom to specify the area you want to download.
In my case I'm going to simply download the Boston area so I entered Boston into the search field ...

A map of Boston is now displayed on my screen
Tap the Options button (see picture) ...

... tap Save a map area ...
|

If you don't want to spend any mobile data traffic then be sure you are connected to a Wi-Fi network.
Tap Start to start the map download.

Size of the map depends on how big is the area you are downloading. If you are downloading only a block or a city it's naturally going to be smaller in size as a whole country or an area of Europe for instance.
Wait for the map to download.

And tap OK when the map is successfully downloaded.
If the download stops in the middle, simply tap Retry.
The map is now downloaded and available for the off-line use. Meaning you don't need the Internet connection to navigate through the places you have stored on your phone.

In case you want to download the wider area, you can use the finger gestures (move, pinch to zoom) to display the area you want to have stored on your phone for the off-line navigation.

Tap the Option button and like we did before tap the Save a map area button.
To find out which maps you already downloaded tap the View your saved map button.
