How to download YouTube videos with Google Chrome
Let's install a YouTube download extension that will enable you to download YouTube movies. You will also learn how to install a Google Chrome extension that isn't in the Google Chrome store.

1.

Click here to open the Chrome YouTube Downloader extension download page then click the Add to Chrome button.

When the extension is downloaded click the drop down arrow next to the downloaded extension file and choose Show in folder (see picture).
A new explorer window with the folder the extension was saved in opens, don't close it.

In Chrome, click the Customize Chrome button (see picture) ...
|

... click Tools and choose Extensions.
|
|
|

|
Now go to the explorer window with YouTube Downloader extension (.crx file) then click and hold the extension .crx file ...
|

... and simply drag and drop it into the Extensions settings window of your Chrome (see picture).
A Drop to install message appears.

Confirm the New Extension by clicking Add button.
|
|
|

That's it you should now be able to download YouTube videos.
|
|
|

|
To test if this really is the case, open a random YouTube video in Chrome and bellow the video you should be able to notice the Download button, click it and choose the quality of the video you are about to download.

All you have to do now is wait for the YouTube clip to download to your computer.
