Purple lines, purple blobs, black S2 screen |

Has anyone ever encountered a Samsung Galaxy S2 screen going black with horizontal, purple lines?
I tried restarting it and nothing changed, eventually the purple lines became purple blobs and now the whole screen is just black but the buttons on the screen light up if I press the power button.
I think the phone is still responding because I can hear calls, messages and other notifications but I cannot see anything, so I'm not sure whats wrong with it and how I can easily fix it? Thank you for sharing any insight you can! |

| Hey shonali,
sounds like your screen might be physically damaged. Try applying a bit of a pressure on the screen where the purple lines are and see if they disappear. You can also try and give it a good old smack, sometimes it does wonders.
