  The mirror effect
Remember as a kid you played with a mirror, putting your face to the side of it and your friends were laughing  at the funny symmetry of your face and your faces reflection?

1.
  Open a picture with Photoshop.

I'm going to make a mirror effect with this picture of feet.

2.
  Choose the Rectangular Marquee Tool.

3.
Select about a half of your picture.

4.
Click Layer, New and Layer via Copy (Ctrl+J for a keyboard shortcut).

5.
You just created a new layer from the selection.

Now press Ctrl+T.

6.
Right click anywhere inside you selection and click Flip Horizontal.

7.
Your new layer should now be flipped.

8.
Drag and drop the new layer to the right side of the image.

You will notice/see how far to the right should you drag it.

Press Enter.

9.
That's it, I've made one big using the mirror image of the selection.

What did you  "mirrorised", share it on the forum!
