Can anyone tell me what is the difference between deodorant and antiperspirant?

From practical view I think they are the same.

There is a big difference between the two. Antiperspirants keeps you from sweating by clogging the sweat pores while deodorants on the other hand just reduce the smell while you are sweating.

Sweating is a natural process that is keeping you cool when needed, so I would say you should choose deodorant over antiperspirant, it's much better for your body.

I though it was something like that.

But why do they even sell Antiperspirants if they clog the sweat pores and deodorant is better?

Because deodorant doesn't work as good as antiperspirants on some people I guess.

OK, thanks for all the answers.

For now I think I will stay with deodorant.
