Cycloramic is an app made in 2012 that can take 360 panorama shots without using your hands. Yes, it does exactly that. It sure is a fascinating app, but what makes it even more interesting is the following story.

Developer Bruno Francois decided to have a go at raising some venture money by attending the famous show by ABC network called Shark Tank. Bruno indeed got to attend the show, presented his magical app and asked for $90,000. The rich investors were so impressed by his Cycloramic app that he ended up with $500,000 investment at a valuation of over $3 million! Check out the video of this Tank Shark episode if you want to see how it all went down:

But that is not even the end of the story. Prior to the Shark Tank appearance, the app had about 600,000 downloads, which is certainly not bad. But after the investment show and until now, the app has more than 8 million downloads and has hit the top of the paid apps in the Apple's App Store.

To explain how Cycloramic app works. It's actually pretty simple yet ingenious. You put your iPhone standing on a flat surface and then it uses its built-in vibration motors to spin the device while the camera is recording a 360-degree video. How cool does that sound?
