Stop Facebook apps from posting on timeline
If you are using Facebook social apps for watching videos, reading content and you don't want your friends or everyone to know about your activity, you can turn this off.

Go to your Facebook profile and, click Down arrow button next to Home and choose Privacy Settings.
|

|
In the Privacy Settings go to Ads, Apps and Websites ...
|

... and click Edit Settings link.
|
|
| |

|
|
Click the app you want to stop from posting on your friends timeline.
|
|

|
|
Look for "Who can see posts this apps make for your Facebook timeline?" ...
|
|
| |

|
|
|
... and choose Only Me setting.
And that is it, you should now be able to watch any videos and articles without worrying others knowing about it.
