Oil paint filter in Photshop CS6

The latest version of Photoshop comes with a great filter called the Oil Paint that turns a picture into an oil painting.

Open a picture you want to turn into an oil painting.

In the menu click Filter and choose Oil Paint...

In the Oil Paint settings window, simply try out different slider positions and observe you image changing.

When you are satisfied with the result, click OK.

Done.

And this is how it looks like on a larger scale.
