A simple disco ball

They've been around for ages and they still look awesome in a retro kind of a way, let's make a disco ball!

Open a picture of your choice.

I chose the party people picture. :)

In the menu click Filter, Texture and choose Patchwork...

In the new settings window set the Square Size to 4 and Relief to 0.

Click OK.

Choose the Elliptical Marque Tool.

And create a selection.

Hold the Shift key to create a perfect circle.

Right click the picture and choose Select Inverse.

Press Delete key, choose White and click OK.

Again right click the picture and choose Select Inverse.

In the menu click Filter, Distort and choose Spherize...

In the new settings window set the Amount to 100 % and click OK.

Your disco ball is basically done.

I'm only going to adjust the Saturation a bit.

Press Ctrl + U to open Hue/Saturation settings.

I've set the Saturation to +5.

Click OK.

The good old disco ball is ready to party!
