If your notebook or computer comes equipped with a fingerprint scanner, you can use it instead of typing you username and password.

1.

This is how the fingerprint scanner looks like on my laptop. Yours should look very similar to mine.

2.

Click Start and type fingerprint in Search programs and files box.

3.

The search results appear above.

Click Use your fingerprint with Windows under Control Panel search results.

4.

Type in your Windows login password and click OK.

5.

Click the button above the finger you're gonna authenticate yourself with.

I have chosen the pointing finger on my right hand.

6.

Now swipe your finger over the fingerprint scanner...

Don't swipe too fast or too slow.

7.

...and continue swiping until the green line reaches the end.

Usually from 3 to 6 times.

8.

You can choose additional  fingers just in case ;) Just follow the steps above.

9.

When you have all the fingerprints you want, click Finish...

10.

...and Close.

11.

Now we have to check, if the windows allow users to log on using their fingerprints.

Click Start and type fingerprint in Search programs and files box  again.

In search results click Change biometric settings.

12.

Make sure Biometrics on and Allow users to log on to Windows using their fingerprints are checked. If they aren't, check them.

Don't forget to click Save changes in case you changed the settings.

15.

That's it. At the next windows log on, you should see a similar screen to this.

16.

Just swipe  the finger you have chosen above and it should log you automatically right in to your Windows.
