How to setup Wi-Fi hotspot on iPhone 5S

A great deal of smartphone of today enable you to create your personal Wi-Fi hotspot and iPhone 5S certainly is not an exception. Let me show you how to turn your iOS 7 powered device into a wireless hotspot.

On your iOS 7 powered device, tap Settings.

Tap Personal Hotspot.

Let's now set a new password. This is the password you or any people who want to surf the net using your iPhone as a Wi-Fi hotspot will need to enter on their devices.

Tap Wi-Fi Password.

Enter your new Wi-Fi password and tap Done.

The mywifipassword you see in the picture is just my example password.

Now simply turn the Personal Hotspot on (see picture).

Bellow you can see under which name your Personal Hotspot is now available.

Warning: when you or your friends/colleague will connect to this Wi-Fi hotspot you will be using the mobile data to surf the Internet. If you don't have an appropriate data plan in your mobile package, it could cost you some extra money.

Your Wi-Fi hotspot should now be available to other devices and ready for anyone with the password to connect to it and start browsing the web.

Anyone that wants to connect to your hotspot will be required to enter the password you set in step 4.

You will get a notification on your iPhone/iPad when people connect to your hotspot (see picture).

To turn the hotspot off, you can either go back to Settings or simply tap the notification ...

... and turn the Personal Hotspot off.
