How to restore deleted files

Sometimes we accidantally delete files from our disk or USB drive. In this lesson I will show you how to restore deleted files.

I will show you how to restore files with the help of Recuva program.

Go to http://www.piriform.com/recuva to download Recuva application.

There are few program versions. We will download free version.

Click FileHippo.com.

In upper right corner click Download Latest Version.

 
 
4.
 

Download setup program and run it.

Keep default settings by clicking Next to finish the installation.

After installation the program will automatically start.

First we will select from which partition we will restore files.

I have chosen F:, which is USB drive.

Click Scan.

The program will scan whole partition and will try to find lost files.

The program will show all files that can be restored.

Select files you want to restore.

 
 
8.
 

Click Recover below.

 
 
9.
 

In new window select destination where you want to restore files.

Click OK.

 
 
10.
 

If you have chosen the same drive from where files were deleted, you are prompted that this can reduce the chance of a successfully recovery.

Click Yes.

 
 
11.
 

Files you have selected are successfully restored.

Click OK.
