Boost up picture colors
We're going to make a picture look a bit more lively by enhancing the contrast and colors.

Ope the picture you want to boost up a little.
|
|
|

|
|
Press Ctrl + J to create a new layer.
|
|
|

|
|
Set the blending more of the layer to Overlay.
|
|
|

|
|
This way you boosted up the picture contrast.
|
|
|

|
|
|
Choose the gradient tool (see picture).
|
|
|
6.
|
|
|
Press D to select black for the foreground and white for background color.
|
|
|

|
|
Choose the Foreground to transparent gradient (see picture)
|
|
|

|
|
Select Linear Gradient (see picture).
|
|
|

|
|
|
And draw a straight vertical line from the top to the about 1/3 of the picture (see picture).

The picture looks much better now.
You can do the step 9 once more if you want even more distinct sky.
