Automatic replies in Gmail

If you're going on a vacation and you want people to know you won't be able to reply their e-mails, you can activate the Vacation Responder.

In you're Gmail click the Options button on the right side and choose Mail settings.

Scroll down to the Vacation responder.

Set the day your vacation or auto-reply days begin (see picture) ...

... check the Ends option and select the date you vacation or auto-reply days are over (see picture).

Now enter the subject  and content of the e-mail the people who e-mail you in that timeline will recieve as auto-reply.

You can also set the vacation responder in case you expect lots of e-mail and don't have time to answer them all at once. You can write a courtesy e-mail saying you will reply as soon as you can.

Click Save Changes at the bottom when finished.

When you return from your vacation just choose Vacation responder off option and click Save Changes at the bottom.
