1.

Open this link in your browser and if you are not directed directly to the OS X Mavericks download in the App Store, click the View in Mac App Store button.

2.

Click Download.

3.

I already have OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) installed on my Mac, that's why I need to click Continue.

If you don't have Mavericks installed on your Mac the downloading procedure will start immediately.

4.

The download time depends on the speed of your Internet connection.

You can check the progress by rolling over the Launchpad icon (see picture).

5.

When download is finished, OS X Mavericks Installation set up window pops up.

Do NOT press continue.

You probably want a clean install of Mavericks on your Mac and this is not the best way to be doing it.

6.

Click Install OS X in the menu and choose Quit Install OS X or press CMD + Q.

7.

The installation package of OS X Mavericks should be in your Applications folder and it's called Install OS X Mavericks (see picture).
